Buford, Georgia (May 6, 2015) – The 2015 Malibu WWA Rider Experience returns to the water in the South region at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford, Georgia on May 29-30. The three day event is the leader in amateur competition as well as education for riders at any level. The Malibu WWA Rider Experience also serves as the South Regional Championship qualifying riders to the WWA Wakeboard National Championships in Miami, Florida on August 12-16.
Last year’s Rider Experience South saw more than 40 riders including Cory Teunissen from Australia who took the win in Jr. Pro Men’s and Ellery Hunt in Junior Women. Rider Experience is an action packed weekend for the whole family that includes Freeride Friday with the Malibu Pro Team, Judge’s Experience, and Surf Gate Sunday. In attendance this year will be Malibu Pro riders Phil Soven, Massi Piffaretti, Tarah Mikacich and Dallas Friday
“The Malibu Rider Experience is a fun and exciting event for everyone in the sport,” said Malibu Pro rider Soven. “Giving riders the opportunity to compete in a professional-type environment and also qualify them for other WWA events makes these regional events an amazing experience.”
