Hello Mr. Rob Corum, I just found out about this rider experience from Malibu Boats on Instagram. They told me how any level and any age is welcome, and I can also ride for fun. Then they directed me to the website. If I were to come for the free ride Friday, would I just bring my board, and then I’d be able to wakeboard? And would I be able to meet the pro riders then? And what’s the tournament like? Thanks for your help!

      Hey Peter,

We’ve actually finished up all of the events for the Rider Experience this year; however, we’re already working on dates and locations for next year.

      To answer your questions though:
“If I were to come for the free ride Friday, would I just bring my board, and then I’d be able to wakeboard?”
Pretty much, you just have to register either online or onsite on Fridays and get out on the water, we also have demos from CWB and Ronix if you’re looking for something new.

“And would I be able to meet the pro riders then?”
Yep, Malibu Pro Team riders put the vibe out all weekend with coaching, riding or whatever.

      “And what’s the tournament like?”
It’s technically the WWA Wakeboard Regional Championships. In 2015, it will be mandatory for riders to compete on the regional level to qualify for the Nationals. Heats depend on how many riders there are in each divisions, but mostly you will be placed in an age based division and you will get a down and back pass against other riders in your region.

Let us know if you need anything else.

      Thanks,

      Rob

Hi, I’m have always been interested in the malibu rider experience. How does the registration work? Do I need to sign up in advance or is it first come first serve at the site?

      Clay,

Unfortunately, we’re all finished with the Rider Experience events for the year. We had 4 stops in Georgia, California, Texas and Wisconsin. We are already working on dates and locations for next summer, so make sure to keep up with us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for updates.
